******** PART 2: www.youtube.com Band: Deathspell Omega Song: Carnal Malefactor (Track 11) Album: Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice (2004) Lyrics: Below the lid of a vast rounded monument Trickling of gristly vestiges and whacked hopes Enhanced by the horrible excess of fetid exhalation And uterine strangulation by the wreaths Of the herds astray, arid in despair, blessed With dilated flakes of fire, slowly wafting down… Say, what does a maternal heart feel when merely Vinegar stills your childs thirst? Youd implore to harbour his torment in your chest… To make his burden yours, but… Sacrilege! Who are you, harlot, to interfere with His emerald will When even your glance should never leave the soil? There resides the fusion, there is the nucleus Angel prick and holy semen, And a woman genuflecting an aroused beast of burden alike Seduced by the father and seducing the son There resides the fusion, there is the nucleus A phallic communion that sanctifies interior wastelands He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption Carnal malefactor, rub your sterile wriggling womb With a candle in reverential contemplation And give voluptuous harbour to vile insects He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption The scorpion shall open the book of Salomon for you to see And the snake slither out of the lips that delivered once The redeemer of man, born out of shameful maternity… He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption …

This stack of bricks is not a kiln but a traditional Japanese method for burning selected organics into ash for glaze making. After the plant material is slow burned from the bottom up it is collected, washed, and mixed into slip glazes. Some of the bricks had a lot of pitch on them from burning the Balsam trimmings left over from making Christmas wreaths so I built a special fire to remove it.

The coffin is laid at the Catafalque to the sound of the Funeral Sentences: Thou knowest, Lord, the secrets of our hearts; shut not thy merciful ears unto our prayer; but spare us, Lord most holy, O God most mighty, O holy and most merciful Savior, thou most worthy Judge eternal, suffer us not, at our last hour, for any pains of death, to fall from thee. Amen Book of Common Prayer I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Write, From henceforth blessed are the dead which die in the Lord: even so saith the Spirit; for they rest from their labours. Revelation 14:13 William Croft. The family lay their wreaths at the Altar with the coffin in place. The Dean of Westminster Abbey, Dr Wesley Carr, begins the service by remarking on how Diana made people feel significant. The first hymn is Diana’s favourite from her school days, ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’ with music from ‘Jupiter: The Bringer of Jolity’ by English composer Gustav Holst: I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love: the love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, that lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; the love that never falters, the love that pays the price, the love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice. The second verse is in Part 15…
