SuperPhillip’s Favorite VGMs Volume 92 – Dry Trail

Posted on Dec 24, 2008 under dried foliage | 2 Comments

This song always gives me a warm feeling when I listen to it. I can imagine running about a forest where the trees and their foliage block out the sky creating a light shadow on the dirt ground. It’s “Dry Trail” from the Tales of Symphonia original soundtrack.

If you like my vids, don’t be caught in a dry spell– subscribe so you won’t be left out of future vids.

Bring Me The Horizon-Who Wants Flowers When You’re Dead?Nbdy

Posted on Dec 22, 2008 under how to dry flowers | Comments are off

From The Album
This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For
Lyrics-
A cherry sunset blossoms,
But we’re not there to watch it fall,
On the vacant canvas, we should be waiting,
With our face down on the grass,
Staring till our eyes give way,
Let’s paint this city black,
While the night’s still young,

You,

This cherry sunset withers,
Our words, as frail as paper,
A dawn I thought we’d never see,
Alone, on this silent beach,
There is nothing we can do,
There is nothing we can do,

The sky, it burns itself out,
The sky, it burns itself out,
The sky, it burns itself out,
The sky, it burns itself,

The trees rot down to nothing,
Throats dry out and corpses fill the sidewalks,
These promenades, our graveyards,

The sky, it burns itself out,
The sky, it burns itself out,

There is nothing we can do,
The sky, it burns itself,
And I think we’re all about to ing die,

The trees rot down to nothing,
Throats dry out, and corpses fill these sidewalks,
These promenades, our graveyards,
Kneeling down on what’s left, sacrificed upon doom’s day,
Oh, if we could take it back and see one last twilight,

Take a picture, take a picture,
Take a picture, take a picture,
Take a picture,

Take a picture, take a picture,
Take a picture, take a picture,
It will last longer,

Our hands in prayer formation,
Our elbows on the bed,
One last try for Heaven,
Thinking who wants flowers when you’re dead?,
You’re dead,
When you’re dead,

Cherry, cherry,
Cherry, cherry,

Cherry, cherry,
Cherry, cherry,

Cherry,
A cherry sunset

Cibelle: London London

Posted on Dec 06, 2008 under dried foliage | 12 Comments

The London-based, São Paulo raised, singer Cibelle, (pronounced see-BELL-ee), burst on the scene in 2003 with her beautiful, smoky voice on her self-titled debut. Her second album, The Shine of Dried Electric Leaves, is a quiet masterpiece, full of inventive and quirky arrangements. It combines rootsy acoustic instrumentation and electronic processing, noise guitars and children’s toys, fascinating textural soundscapes and pure melodies.

Necrophagia: Flowers of Flesh And Blood (Live)

Posted on Nov 28, 2008 under dried flowers | 2 Comments

From Necrophagia’s live album Slit Wrists and Casket Rot. Left to rot
Dried up, dying
Draining life
As we know it

Rotting flesh
Doesn’t seem to bad
Compared to the filth
In which we’re planted

Beyond magick
I’ve seen the other side
There’s nothing here for me
I crave darkness

Suffer the children
In a paradise lost
A moment frozen
Killed by silence

Echoing forbidden fruits
Nothing but lies
Sins of the father
Passed on like plague

Take me back
To nothingness
Away from the pain
Eternal sleep
Beckons me

We are all
Flowers of flesh and blood

One Of Those Girls – Part One Chapter Eight

Posted on Nov 20, 2008 under dried pods | Comments are off

Chapter Eight!

POV (Jessica)
I ran from Joe. He was so nice but very straight forward. Right now I just had to process and think about everything that had just happened. So I climbed into the bus while everyone else did whatever they were doing. I crawled into the bunk that I thought was mine and tried to fall asleep but my mind was running in circles. So I pulled my i-Pod out of my purse and listened to some of my favorite songs that usually calmed me down.

POV (Kevin)
While I was walking out of the building to put my guitar in the bus I saw Jessica dash across the street and climb into the bus. She looked a little freaked out. Then I saw Joe he was walking slowly through the darkness. “Sup?” he said to me. “Nothing, but do you know what’s wrong with Jessica?” “Yeah.” Joe said as he kicked a rock. “Well?” I said impatiently. “Never mind.” He said as he walked back inside to help Nick get the last of the items before we headed off to Texas for the next concert. I opened the side of the bus and stuck my guitar inside. I closed it and then walked over and into the bus. I looked around and didn’t see Jessica so I figured she must had gone to bed. I yawned and knew it was probably time we all went to sleep so I walked over to my bunk and to my surprise when I pulled back the curtains there was Jessica sound asleep with an i-Pod hanging loosely from her hands. I smiled to myself as I looked at her. She looked so peaceful from what she looked like a few minutes ago. I tried to shut the curtain quietly so I wouldn’t wake her but I wasn’t successful. She poked her head out. “Sorry.” I said. “It’s ok.” She said yawning. “Wait how did you hear that with your i-Pod in?” I asked. “I was awake when you pulled the curtain open.” She said laughing. I chuckled at her. “So I must have been in the wrong bunk huh?” she said as she got out. “Uh yeah that’s my bunk, it’s no problem though.” She looked at me before sighing. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “It’s just that, well I….” she trailed off. “Can’t tell me?” She nodded her head. “You can tell me anything.” I said stepping closer towards her. She smelled wonderful I couldn’t help but want to kiss her but instead I just hugged her as she started crying.

POV (Back to Jessica)
I started to cry into Kevin’s chest and once I started I couldn’t stop. I cried my heart out and I would have kept going but Joe and Nick got on the bus and Kevin quickly let me go and I dried my face off quickly before climbing into the bunk that was mine. The rest of the night I laid there in silence. I loved Kevin but there was a part of me that loved Joe too.
