EDIT: OKAY! So, YouTube has totally screwed up the quality of my video. That’s okay. It was just for a dry run. I’ll repost a better version. There are some problems with picture and sound that I will fix later. I apologize for inconvenience. I’ll try again later, for now it’s time to move on.
This is my first uploaded music video. I actually make them all the time. Now that I have a lot more time on my hands I’ll be able to upload them. Plus I need the practice for my digital editing class next semester.
Song: Fallen Leaves by Billy Talent
Movie: Smokin’ Aces
I, in no way shape or form own Smokin’ Aces or this song. This is purely fan made.

In which Maya brags far too much about Nanowrimo, has icky hair because she was too lazy to dry it, yells for Sorcha, and attempts to do Shanmin’s challenge (tell me if I did it wrong).
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I’m trying to upload this without my extended family finding out about shadesofawesome because if they did I would be the butt of their jokes for the next five years. Seriously.
Oh, and sorry that I send you guys really weird and awkward facebook posts and stuff. That’s just how I roll.

This week on Hawaiian Grown TV, we visit Tropic Farms in Kahuku where they grow dry land taro and then follow the leaves to one of Hawaii’s favorite local restaurants, Sam Choy’s BLC. Last, Shannon Akazawa from Gokujo Sushi shows us how to prepare the signature “Hawaiian Grown Sushi Roll” co-created by the master himself, Grant Kawasaki.

Here’s a piece by the classical guitarist Ray Hume I found early in the year – it reminds me of the dry, bright side of Autumn, rather than the moist, rainy side that Leo Brouwer’s piece shows (I’m not sure on its name, but most people call it “The Rain Study”).
Ray Hume says that this piece is “essentially introspective with a touch of melancholy”, and I see what he means – the way the high and bass melodies go down in pitch and alter in consonance helps give it a very subtly sorrowful feel.
Harrington street in Dublin on a bright Autumn morning is a perfect place to catch the atmosphere.

Chocolate leaves are a fun and easy way to dress up your favorite dessert dishes for Fall and make fabulous & festive chocolate accents for a special Thanksgiving treat.
Make sure leaves are edible ( some are toxic ) wash and dry completely before applying the chocolate to the backside.
