Dried poppy pods are one of the most sought after dried floral products for use in flowerarrangements and floral crafts.  Poppy pods are unique round dried seed pods with a flat cap on top and are sold complete with the stem. They are offered by numerous online sellers or you can buy poppy pods from your local craft store, though your local store may not offer the superb variety available from online retailers and wholesalers that offer poppy pods for sale. Also look for variety in the way that the pods have been dried. When dried in bundles upside down, the stems are almost perfectly straight, but when allowed to dry naturally, standing upright in a container, the stems can dry in unexpected and interesting ways that lend depth and architectural appeal to wreaths and floral arrangements. And don’t let your imagination stop at fall arrangements; though this is the most common usage, dried poppy pods are well-suited for displays for all seasons. A very light coat of air-brushed color can really stand out. Poppy pods for sale are usually offered in  four sizes; small, medium, large and mammoth.  The pods can be as large as  four inches in diameter and as small as two inches, so look for a site that offers a wide variety when looking to buy poppy pods. There are also a variety of different species of poppy pods for sale, so artists can pick and choose the size, species and decorative form when they buy poppy pods. Anyone can buy poppy pods in small enough amounts for making gifts for friends and family or just for home décor, or if this is for a commercial enterprise, suppliers may offer special pricing for bulk orders. Many casual hobbyists will go in together to buy enough quantity to qualify for bulk pricing. A quick search on the web will provide many sources from which you can buy poppy pods, some of which may offer free shipping along with an equitable value. Once the poppy pods are in hand the imagination is the only limit to what can be done with this striking floral medium that can be used in a myriad of ways. Dried field poppies look absolutely stunning in an herb wreath with more colorful dried herbs and flowers, like salvia borminum, pink pepper berries, marjoram and marigolds. The miniature dried poppy pods can make a more delicate wreath when combined with lacier plant varieties like baby’s breath or lavender. Use twisty poppy stems for more stately arrangements and a quite dramatic display is possible using oriental paper bush and large, bulky blooms that are balanced by being interlaced with the twisty dried poppy pod stems. Consider using the large globular poppy pods as accents for various seasons. Spraying them different colors and adding contrasting stencils in the form of black cats or witches for Halloween, snowflakes for Christmas or doves and crosses for Easter can make a new arrangement totally unique or freshen up a previously used arrangement to make it appear new.
