37: Mabon Activities

My mabon activities:
1. Mak a protection charm of hazelnuts strung on red thread.
2. Hand dried ears of corn on the front of the door, door posts, or outside light fixtures.
3. A mabon meal of wine or mean from the God and beans and squashes from the Goddess.
4. Collecting milkweed pods to decorate at Yuletide and to attract the fairies.
5. Make wines and meads.
6. Gathering dried herbs, plants, seeds, and seed pods.
7. Walking in the woods/ forest.
8. Scattering offerings in harvest fields.
9. Offering libations to the trees.
10. Adorning burial sites with leaves, acorns, and pine cones to honor whose who have passed over.

Up here in Northern …
Up here in Northern Ontario we celebrate with friends, singing and playing music together around a large bon fire. This years celebration is being held on this upcoming Sept. 26.
