i have over 200 lily bulbs .. grass lilies, spider lilies, dragon lilies, trumpets, amelioris etc… they last flowered 2 1/2 years back. the foliage dried down two years back… even after repeated tries, the bulbs have remained dormant, even during the rainy seasons.. some of the mature bulbs have even died down.. i'm really worried.. i've tried repotting, putting freshly bought soil, … recently i noticed some ant attack and got rid of them with pesticides.. repotted again with another round of fresh soil with some organic fertilizers this time.. but to no avail. what should i do? i'm really sad
… they used to flower like anything.. i love them.. please help!
(i live in a hot humid tropical climate for info..)
thanx everyone…
guys i had to dig them all up while repotting… found that the bulbs were all fleshy, pretty much juicy and healthy, only the portion from where the shoot emerges looked like thers no action goin on… the roots were not too dry, but i wont say they looked great either.. i can tell u the bulbs looked pretty much like store-bought onions.. would u say they are dead????
Flowering bulbs should not be disturbed during the dormant season. They should be lifted for multiplication, just after they have finished flowering.

I think that perhaps your bulbs are not growning because you keep disturbing them. They sound perfectly healthy. Let them be and use bone meal or other bulb fertilizer once a year.
