How do you preserve flowers in acrylic or ployresin?

You can try a poly resin casting compund like this http://www.misterart.com/store/view.cfm?group_id=4292183&store=001&AID=10273655&PID=1561714 that can be bought at craft or hobby stores.
However, this may be too thick and cause the flower to collapse. You may need to thin the resin with paint thinner, MEK or Acetone and/or you may need to apply shellac or polyurethane to the flower first and let it dry before dipping it in the casting material. Acetone will probably dry the quickest.
