How do I preserve flowers that are already dead, dried out and the petals are falling off?

   You could try hanging them upside down with a string and spraying with a super hold hair spray.

   If you get them fresh and hang upside down, they will dry and stay that way. The petals won't fall off.

   place in old magazine and put something heavy on top.

   when I was a child I put some panzies in a childhood book and discovered them some 50 years later while looking through book. They were perfectly preserved and color was good.
